Skirball Museum

Installation & Framing by Jessie Cooper

In early 2010 my friend John Elder was working as a curator at the Skirball museum. I had already moved my shop to Everett Washington where I currently reside. The phone rang and John asked me if I would frame a show for the Skirball exclaiming there would be 70 pieces to frame and there was a specific frame they would require. I liked the idea and took the job. My assistant at the time, Marvin Christianson, and I made the frames in my Everett shop. I then drove my framing gear to LA with the frames. I spent two weeks in the Museum vault with a full security pass and worked with top curators from all over the country.
